Algeria in protest
12 | March | 2019

With the country going through the biggest wave of protests of the last decades, against a fifth mandate of Abdelaziz Bouteflika and demanding important changes to the regime, the Algerian President announced the postponement of the elections to which he will not run. The Prime Minister has also resigned and the Government announced a Convention will be organized to draft a new constitutional text but, without setting dates, the protesters received promises with skepticism and did not demobilize.
